eggy was my
first dog. She was born on 17th May 1987,
and came to me when only a month old. She was a Cocker
Spaniel and Terrier cross, and if you are familiar with these
two breeds, you can imagine that her temperament wasn't one
of the mildest kinds:-). She was very noisy and jumpy little
dog, always happy, and her main philosophy in life was to
eat whenever she could, and spend as much time as possible
with her favorite person in the whole world - my dad.
As an 11 year old kid I didn't know much about educating dogs,
so she didn't obey me too well, and she never hesitated to
bite me in order to prove that she doesn't agree with whatever
I demanded of her. It was only 6 yrs later, when I got my
American Staffordshire Terrier Šeša, that I realized
that dogs don't growl and bite as a rule:-). So that's why
I always think of Peggy as a little witch:-).
She
was my pal while I was growing up, and I tried to teach her
all kinds of stuff - obedience (never succeded:-), tricks
(she knew how to beg and
to give a paw), bite work (biting my hand wraped with old
chlotes:-), following blood trail (she even did that excellent
once!), and so on and on.
I
was so proud of her that at one time I decided to take her
to the exhibition of croosbreed dogs. Needless to say that
in the end I was very dissapointed and surprised when judges
failed to recognize that she was the most beautiful dog there:-).
